Benzac Wash 5% is a suspension based on benzoyl peroxide, a substance
for the local treatment of acne.
Benzac Wash 5% is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris (pimples).
Benzac Wash 5% should be administered topically in all forms of mild to moderate acne on the face, back or chest.
You should contact your doctor if you experience no improvement or feel less well after 4 weeks.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with
your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
Unless otherwise specified, the skin is treated with Benzac Wash 5% once or twice a day as follows: wet the skin with water, apply Benzac Wash
5% on affected areas and rub until foam forms. The contact time with the skin should be short: from 1 minute to a maximum of 5 minutes. Then rinse
with plenty of water and pat dry.
Benzac Wash 5% is mainly used:
in early acne,
in young subjects with fragile skin,
at the start of treatment.

What Benzac Wash 5% contains
– The active substance is benzoyl peroxide.
– The other ingredients are: carbomer 940, C14-16 olefin sulphonate
sodium, acrylic copolymers, glycerin, sodium hydroxide, purified water.

CAUTION: Benzac can discolor hair, eyebrows and colored textiles (clothing, bed linen, etc.). Due to the risk of bleaching natural fibers or
synthetic, it is advisable to use white sheets (pillows, sheets, towels), to avoid any contact with clothing and to wash your hands thoroughly after application. In case the gel is applied in the late evening, allow it to dry before going to bed.

  • dryness or peeling of the skin (may occur after a few days)
  • feeling of warmth, mild stinging, and redness of the skin

Benzac AC Gel

Benzac AC Gel is for the treatment of mild to severe acne. It helps remove excess oil, unblock pores and kills acne bacteria within 48 hours and reduce visible acne.

There are 3 strengths of Benzac AC Gel: 2.5%, 5% and 10%. The percentage refers to the amount of the active benzoyl peroxide in the gel. It is recommended that you always begin treatment with either 2.5% or 5% Benzac AC. If your acne persists, and provided your skin tolerates the lower strength gel, your doctor or pharmacist may recommend continued treatment with the higher strength gel (10%). How long you will need to use Benzac AC will depend on how quickly your condition improves. After you have used it for one month, you should see your doctor or pharmacist again so they can check the improvement in your condition.

Ingredients:

  • Benzac AC 2.5%: Benzoyl peroxide 2.5%
  • Benzac AC 5%: Benzoyl peroxide 5%
  • Benzac AC 10%: Benzoyl peroxide 10%

Dosage:

  1. Wash the affected area with a mild skin cleanser and water and pat skin dry.
  2. Apply a thin film of Benzac Benzac ac kaufen Gel to the affected areas once daily, leaving on the skin for 2 hours then washing it off with water then pat skin dry.
  3. Apply a light moisturiser which won’t clog pores. After three days, if no discomfort is felt, apply Benzac AC Gel in the evening and leave it on all night.
  4. After 7 days,if there is no redness or peeling and your skin is still not improving, apply Benzac AC Gel twice a day, morning and night. How long you will need to use Benzac AC Gel will depend on how quickly your condition improves.
  5. After a month,you should see your doctor or pharmacist again so they can asses the condition of your skin.
